ArtPAC’s Political Endorsement Blueprint
-
To expand and implement the 1% Development Fund for the Arts across all municipalities in Los Angeles County by 2032, while building a strong network of arts champions among elected officials.
-
Many cities and counties implement municipal codes that require development projects to contribute 1% of building valuations to local funds for public art. Developers have the opportunity to either commission public art projects on their developments (equivalent to 1% of their building valuations) or contribute that percentage to a locally-managed arts fund that supports public art projects and programs.
-
Goal: Support and endorse candidates in 25% of strategically targeted cities per election cycle, achieving 100% coverage by 2032
-
At ArtPAC we are focused on encouraging non-1% cities across LA County to support their local arts economies with 1% Development Fund for the Arts policies. We have separate goals and strategies for each group of cities
